Rationale
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to
practice social distancing affecting modalities
in classroom delivery learning not only in the
Philippines but in almost all parts of the world.
Because of this, all educational institutions have
to venture into the cyberspace learning as this
new normal has altered the landscape of longterm
education.
Further, this deadly virus has practically
brought the entire world to a halt and
unprecedentedly restricted human activities
and movements causing the sector of education
in total limbo. Unfazed, however, by the threats
and instability caused by COVID-19 pandemic,
the Department of Education, through the
Objectives
leadership of Secretary Leonor Mirasol M.
Briones, in consonance with the President’s
pronouncement, “No Vaccine, No Opening of
Classes”, assured the country of a seamless
education for our children by instituting various
teaching-learning modalities in consideration
of the geographical, social, and economic
situations, and technological capability of
the country in the face of this new social
phenomenon.
Fully aware of this reality, the Academy of
Christian Excellence Montessori Inc., located in
Karangalan Village, Cainta, Rizal, braced herself
to respond to the challenges of the new normal
in education.
For these reasons, the ACE Montessori
Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) has been
designed and crafted to:
1. guarantee the continuity of learning among
the ACEM students during these uncertain
periods of our history caused by COVID -19
pandemic;
2. ensure preparedness of all the institution’s
stakeholders, parents/guardians, students,
teaching and non-teaching staff, etc., to
carry out their distinct responsibilities
in ensuring that educational objectives
are realized through the various learning
modalities;
3. secure the health welfare and safety of the
learners, teachers and school personnel by
strictly adhering to the health and safety
protocols required by the duly authorized
government agencies for COVID-19 control
and prevention through social distancing
and personal hygiene and safety;
4. provide safe and enough physical
infrastructure and other related services to
ensure the health welfare and safety of its
stakeholders and school personnel even
for a possibility of onsite learning in a new
normal situation;
5. maintain the school’s technical capability
for effective and efficient response to
the demands of an online or distance
learning by engaging the help of experts
and technical support personnel who can
provide quick response to the concerns
relative to the functionality and accessibility
of the school’s technical facilities and
platforms.
6. ensure that the learner’s academic
performance is strictly monitored and fairly
assessed by using a secured and reliable
learning management system or platform.
