a little about me

My professional experience started as graphic designer at reputable publishing companies here in Winnipeg. I was in charge of laying out magazines and all other print collateral which also included coordination with the printers.

During my tenure, I created and maintained websites and email marketing campaigns. At the same time, I was also tasked to produce videos that aired on Shaw TV. This career path went on until I focused in digital media where I built websites and mobile apps.

So far so good! I now own several years of enriching experience that taught me perseverance, patience, and above all, gratitude.

EXPERIENCE

Web Designer

I am certified in Dynamic Web Development, with knowledge in PHP and MySQL. I built numerous websites using CMS platforms – proficient in Joomla, and works well in WordPress; I wrote several programs using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS; Designed and built magazine app for smartphone and tablet, set up app in the Apple Store and Google Play; Designed a digital directory app for associations for Apple and Android; Designed a newsletter app for Apple mobile devices.

Graphic Designer

Designed niche magazines for both Canadian and American audiences, with genres covering heavy construction, pile driving, aviation, gardening and biotechnology; Conceptualized and designed print ads, flyers and brochures for various publishers and companies; Developed proposals and presentations for identified prospects on company branding.

Video Producer

Produced 30 and 15-minute videos that aired on Shaw TV for a gardening show; Produced videos for a variety of associations for their promo; Produced videos as part of a proposal for associations.
